Ikat Cocktail Napkins - set of four
Cocktail napkins with a story…
Before moving to Morocco, my family and I lived in Uzbekistan for three years. (My husband does legal reform work for an American NGO.) In Central Asia I collected some gorgeous fabrics, among them this Uzbek ikat. It’s a beautiful deep orange…hand-woven, of course by local artisans.
Now we are in Morocco and, once again, I have fallen in love with the local arts and design tradition. The beautiful little buttons that adorn local garments have completely captivated me!
So…I’ve taken the Uzbek fabric and made some cocktail napkins for you. Each one is adorned with four little Moroccan buttons, which I buy from a lovely lady in the medina here in Rabat. She hand-crochets them.
Each set is sent in a small cloth pouch decorated with Moroccan buttons…a perfect gift!
Set of four: one set includes 2 black/2 beige; the other 2 black/2 olive green. Please specify in your order which you would like.
